Renee and David Barton

We met in the summer of 2001 and our friendship quickly developed into a loving relationship based on respect, humor and trust. We both knew immediately that we had found our soul mate. We were married on a bright and beautiful day in October 2003. We enjoy a warm, loving and supportive relationship. We love spending time together in the kitchen, walking our dogs and traveling.
We come from very similar backgrounds of hard working and strong families. We have dreamed of building our family and passing on the love, values and stability our families have provided for us. We will encourage our child to be kind, honest, open-minded and self-confident. We will nurture them to be loving, supportive and understanding of the world around them. We believe in unconditional love and being attentive to their lives. We also believe in promoting their interests and developing their love for education. We cannot wait to open up our arms, our hearts and share our lives with a child.

We share many interests like water sports, college football, reading and traveling. We cannot wait to take our child on our adventures and teach them about different cultures. David enjoys working out on our Wii and making candy. He loves to make chocolate truffles and is looking forward to sharing his secret techniques with our child. Renee likes to attend art festivals and enjoys making crafts. She hopes to pass down her love of cross stitching and has already started making baby bibs. We are thrilled about introducing our child to the giraffes at the zoo, reading them bedtime stories or taking them to the lake to scuba dive and sail.

We live in a beautiful 100-year-old bungalow in a family-oriented neighborhood of La Porte, Indiana. We are an hour from Chicago and enjoy taking day trips into the city often. We are excited to take our child to Lincoln Park Zoo to see the giraffes and monkeys. We live close to excellent schools, The Dunes National Park and Lake Michigan. We love to host parties for our friends and neighbors and at Thanksgiving both sides of our families come to our home to kick off the holiday season.
We are animal lovers and share our home with two dogs, Rosie and Max and a cat, Luna. We also have a Quarter Horse, Tiffany, who is stabled nearby at David’s family’s farm. All of our animals are gentle, loving and great around the children in our lives.

Through us, our child will have: 4 Grandparents, 4 Aunts and Uncles, 10 Great Aunts and Uncles, 18 Second Cousins, a neighborhood filled with friends and children and Family in Indiana, Illinois, California, Ohio, Michigan and Texas.
