Keith Duprey & Mike Wiegert

When we started dating in 2005, it was clear that we had found our soul mates. So much of what we both longed for was a partner in life; someone who would provide love and support and be there with a smile and hug at the end of the day. We found that in each other.

We also connected because of our mutual love of family. We both grew up with supportive parents and siblings; Mike in upstate New York, and Keith in rural Virginia. That positive experience gave each of us a strong desire to start a family of our own.

We believe we are a good balance for each other. Keith is more creative and spontaneous and works in the field of marketing for an entertainment company. He loves to garden, fill photo albums, cook, and make our yearly Christmas card. Keith looks forward to teaching our child how to make our favorite family dishes like gumbo and spaghetti sauce, grow beautiful wildflowers and tasty herbs, and to enjoy the simple joys like a morning walk around the neighborhood.

Mike is very thoughtful, disciplined, and responsible and is a physician assistant in the field of cardiology. He loves being outside and is currently training for a full marathon and can’t wait to take our child out in the baby jogger! He also dreams of reading our child bedtime stories, helping them with homework, bandaging their scraped knee, and taking them on fun adventures in local parks and museums.

Both our families love visiting Atlanta with the warm climate and endless activities. Grandpa Wiegert lives in Buffalo, New York and can’t wait to take our little one to Buffalo Bills football games, to build snowmen, and to visit Niagara Falls. Mike’s brother, Jim, lives in Dallas, Texas and loves to go fishing. He will be the perfect uncle to bait a hook and teach patience. Keith’s parents live near the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia and love to cook and spend time with their grand kids.

Uncle Kevin, Keith’s younger brother, and his family live on the beach in North Carolina and can’t wait to take our child out on the boat for a tour of island marshes and streams. Keith’s older brother, Uncle Charles, and his family live close to West Virginia and already has plans of taking our child skiing and hiking in the beautiful mountains.

Living in Atlanta for 10 years, we have many wonderful friends who have started families of their own. We love spending time with their children going to festivals, playing at the pool, going to the lake, and grilling out. Everyone is excited about our child joining the family. Friends and relatives have already started passing down heirlooms like quilts, toys and rockers. We can’t wait to share these wonderful gifts with our precious child.
