Charles & Tiffany Mayes

We became the best of friends when we were teenagers and have been happily married since before we finished college. We have always dreamed of having our home filled with the love and laughter of children. We enjoy blowing bubbles in the backyard, building sandcastles at the beach, and family vacations. Nightly dinners gathered around the kitchen table, helping our children with homework, and bedtime stories are all part of our family life together. We’ll be at our children’s little league games, ballet recitals, or whatever activities they choose. Tiffany is a stay-at-home mom which creates the opportunity for fun and learning.

Ethan is a happy and loving little boy. He loves anything that involves water. Whether it’s the beach, Sea World, or the backyard hose, you’ll always find Ethan splashing around. We know that Ethan will make a great big brother and we dream of the day we can see him share the excitement of Christmas morning with a sibling.

Our house is on the perfect corner for our children to setup a lemonade stand. We can walk to a waterfront park, complete with play equipment and baseball diamonds. There are excellent schools close by. We’re a short drive to the Zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, and Disneyland. We look forward to discovering our second child’s favorite places and activities.

Every 4th of July, we go to a neighborhood party where we barbecue and watch spectacular fireworks across the harbor and city. On Christmas Eve, our neighborhood has a parade where all the kids decorate strollers, wagons, and bikes. It’s such fun for all the kids! That night, we also put cookies out for Santa and carrots for his reindeer. The holidays are always a very special time.

We both grew up in San Diego, and are blessed to be surrounded by family and friends. Our family is a huge part of our lives, and we spend lots of time with them. Our newest family member will be greeted with much excitement by cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and a great grandmother. Our family is waiting for our newest addition and will be there with an abundance of unconditional love!

We will provide our children with a lifetime of love and security. Our children’s happiness will be our life's focus. We will raise our children with unconditional love and knowledge of the beautiful and wonderful way we became a family. We’ve kept in contact with Ethan’s birthfamily through phone calls, emails, pictures, and visits. We look forward to embracing you and building a positive, supportive, and respectful relationship that you are comfortable with.
