Andrea and Scott Mason
About Andrea (by Scott)
I am happier with Andrea than I could have ever imagined. She is very nurturing and is always thinking of others. I've always known that Andrea would make a great mother! She is creative and loves cooking. I can picture her in the kitchen with our child, baking cookies or decorating cupcakes. She loves books and looks forward to reading bedtime stories every night. Andrea amazes me every day and I am excited to watch our child learn from her.

To a Special Person
Hello! We are Scott and Andrea Mason from Winder, Georgia. We admire your strength and courage as you consider open adoption and we are honored that you are taking the time to read our letter. We hope that it will give you some insight into who we are as individuals and as a couple. We're excited about growing our family through open adoption and look forward to building a relationship with you and learning about your hopes and dreams for your baby.
About Us
We met 13 years ago, and soon realized that we wanted to spend our lives together. We were married in 2001 and have been inseparable ever since. Our close relationship is built on mutual respect, friendship, and love. Becoming parents is something we have always wanted and we are excited about adopting. We can't wait to share our hearts and lives with our child!
About Our Family
We feel blessed to have such an amazing family! Most of our relatives live here in Georgia. We also have family members close by in Florida and the Carolinas, and we love taking trips to visit them. Our parents will be a very important part of our child's life. Nana Pam and Nana Susan can't wait to spend time with their grandchild! Papa Marvin and Grandpa Marcello are excited to have a new helper in the kitchen on Thanksgiving! There are also plenty of aunts, uncles, and cousins waiting to welcome a new addition into our family.
Work & Play
Andrea is a kindergarten teacher and loves spending her days with children. It makes her happy to see her students' faces light up as they learn new things. She will be home with our child during the summer and on all school holidays. Scott is the operations manager for a local import/export company. We feel fortunate to have flexible schedules that will give us plenty of time together as a family. We can't wait to sit together and have family dinners every night!
On weekends, Scott likes to work on cars and Andrea spends time sewing or doing other crafty things. Together we enjoy working in the yard, taking walks in our neighborhood, and spending time with our friends at church. We love watching movies and can't wait to curl up on the couch with some popcorn for family movie nights. Bowling is another favorite activity of ours and we look forward to hearing our child cheer as he or she makes that first strike!
About Scott (by Andrea)
One of the first things that drew me to Scott was his ability to make me laugh. He is a generous and compassionate person and I know that he will pass these traits on to our child. Scott is always helping others, whether it's giving computer advice or building houses for families on a mission trip. I look forward to watching him work in the garage with our son or have tea parties with our daughter. Scott will be an amazing father and our child will have so much fun with him!
