Heather is warm, generous, magnetic and easily trusted. Children and animals gravitate toward her kind and playful nature. In college, she was an excellent nanny and I know that experience will make her a great mother!
Heather's gift of storytelling amazes me. Each tale she tells reflects exactly who she is, a loving person committed to making the world a better place. It's easy to imagine her reading to our child every night or even creating a new story with our little one!
I know Heather looks forward to staying at home as much as possible. She can't wait to create memories with our child and explore the world. No one would guide a child better morally or provide more unconditional love.
Heather is my best friend and has made my life more rich and interesting. I know she will do the same for our child and I can't wait to see their loving relationship.

Our Story
Over the past six years, we have built a solid relationship based on love, support and trust. We enjoy everything from reading the Sunday paper to hiking with our three dogs, Rosie, Snaggle Tooth and Jean Paul.
April is a therapist and loves working with kids. She can turn tears into smiles and can't wait to be there for our child whenever he or she needs advice. Heather is a marketing professional who works for herself from home, mostly for Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit homebuilder that builds houses in partnership with low-income families. She creates her own work schedule and is excited this will allow her to stay at home with our little one!
Parenting
We are committed to providing a home that is secure, loving, supportive and safe for our child. Encouraging a child's individuality and self-expression is as important as setting limits.
We both grew up with a lot of love in our homes and look forward to recreating the same for our child. We will teach our child to always value him or herself, family, education and the arts. We can hardly wait to take our little one to plays, sporting events, museums and bookstores!
Family
We are blessed to have such amazing family and friends. April's family lives in Bristol, Tennessee, while Heather's family calls Apollo Beach, Florida, home. From the mountains to the beach, we have family waiting to welcome our child into their lives. We can't wait to see our little one building sand castles on the beach or strapping on little snow skis!
Every Sunday will be Family Fun Day, a tradition in Heather's family. Our adventures will be captured by Grandma Ginny, April's mom. She loves preserving memories and is always taking pictures or filming home videos. She's already dreaming about filming us tickling our little one or teaching him or her how to ride a bike. We can't wait to share all of these moments with our child!
Our Home
We love living in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. The city, most famous for its role in Civil War history. keeps us entertained. Our child will never be bored given all there is to do within walking distance of our house!
No doubt we'll be found sitting on curbs during street festivals, tubing down the Rappahannock River and eating yummy Carl's Ice Cream. We can already picture our child with a face full of chocolate ice cream and sprinkles! We have a huge park behind our house and live just one hour away from all of the museums and wonders that Washington, D.C., has to offer. Taking our child to the White House Easter Egg Hunt is a must!

Falling in love with April is so easy. She's a complete goof ball, an incredible athlete and the most nurturing person I've ever met. I feel so lucky to have found her.
I can't wait to see April as a mother. She constantly strives to learn about the world around her. I know our child will be able to ask a million questions and April will make finding the answers a fun game.
I've never met anyone with a bigger heart and more commitment to the people she loves. April will participate in every field trip, athletic game and bedtime story.
She's the love of my life and I can't wait to see her shower our little one with love.
