Katie Judge & Eleanor Terrell
Katie by Eleanor
Katie is an amazing woman! She teaches me to live life to its fullest, and I know she will inspire our child to be passionate about life. Whatever Katie does, she puts her whole heart into it. In the past it was her military career as a helicopter pilot. Today it’s challenging herself to compete in triathlons. Our little one and I will cheer Mom on at her races. I imagine Katie zooming through our neighborhood as she jogs with our child snug in the stroller. Katie works in manufacturing and is a manager at a plant about a mile from home. Since she is close, I know she will cherish the extra Mommy moments when she comes home for lunch.

Our Story
In 2006 we met through mutual friends and quickly became inseparable. Our relationship has grown stronger and more secure than we thought possible. We are best friends and soul-mates. Our life together is full of laughter whether we’re watching a movie or cooking dinner. We can hardly wait to snuggle with our child as we munch on buttery popcorn and watch a great Disney movie!
We also love spending time outdoors. We look forward to family camping trips, sitting by the fire, listening to crickets and making s’mores with our child. Our animals are an important part of our lives. We have two gentle horses, an affectionate dog named Rokky and three lazy cats. They will all love having a new friend to love. Rokky will easily keep up with a stroller during neighborhood walks with our little one. We are thrilled about sharing our home, joy, and love with our child.
Our Family
Our families eagerly await an addition to our family. Eleanor’s parents and sister, Emily, live a short drive away. They can’t wait to explore the butterfly garden and visit the meerkats at the Zoo with our little one. We also have family in Nevada and New York. They are excited about our child being a part of the family gatherings that are full of fun, food and good times. We travel to Massachusetts often to visit Katie’s family. Her parents are already planning to make lots of visits to our home to see their grandchild! Nanie and Grampie can’t wait to go hunting for crabs at the beach with their newest grandchild.
We are excited about taking vacations and exploring new places as a family. Katie’s brother, Jeff, and his wife have two boys and a little girl. They live in Florida and look forward to having another cousin as a playmate! Our niece, Baylee, who lives nearby will be an amazing helper. She is already asking if she can help make homemade baby food for her cousin with vegetables from her garden.
Our Home & Traditions
We live in Greensboro, half-way between the mountains and the beach! Our neighborhood is family-friendly and close to good schools. We will keep cool all summer long at our pool with our child. We especially look forward to watching our child running through the sprinkler in our big backyard and creating chalk masterpieces on the driveway.
We believe family memories and traditions are a key part of a happy childhood. During Halloween we love to hang up spooky lights and dress our candyhelper, Rokky, in her best costume. We can’t wait to show our child how to carve jack-o-lanterns and dress up for trick-or-treating. Birthdays will always be full of crazy cakes, games, and close friends! Decorating for Christmas will be even more special when we build gingerbread houses together.
Our Hopes & Dreams
We dream of a future with a child to love. We are grateful for our ability to offer a nurturing, stable home full of love and opportunities. Whether it’s dance, music, school or sports, we look forward to watching our child grow up, explore his or her interests, and become the person he or she is meant to be.
We believe part of what makes a family is the amount of love given to a child. The part of open adoption we like most is that there is no limit on the love for the child. We’re happy that you are reading our letter and we thank you for considering open adoption. We hope you find peace as you consider all of your options. We would like to develop a respectful relationship with you based on mutual wishes and levels of comfort. We hope our profile helps to answer your questions about our commitment to each other, to your future child, and to you. We would love to hear from you anytime.
We truly hope that you are able to find what you are looking for and we wish you all of the best.
Eleanor by Katie
Eleanor makes me laugh more than anyone I have ever known. She is witty and smart and I never get tired of spending time with her. Eleanor is an elementary school teacher and her kids at school love her! She brings out the best in her students and I know she will be the same way as a mother. She plans to take plenty of time off to stay at home with our child. During summer vacations, Eleanor looks forward to taking our child on fun trips to the library with Mommy. She loves reading and is already collecting books she wants to read to our child. I can picture her cuddled up with our child at bedtime reading Goodnight Moon.
