Kyle Rose and Steve Schuller

We met in 1997 and were officially married in Massachusetts last year, in front of all our family and friends. We've been inseparable ever since we met and love spending time together, whether we’re curled up on the couch watching our favorite TV shows or in the midst of some new travel adventure. We’re always looking out for one another and love the fact that we can laugh together through life’s special moments. After 14 wonderful years, we’re excited to be starting our family – something we’ve always talked about – and we feel that open adoption is the right choice. We can’t wait to experience the joy of seeing the world through our child’s eyes and to watch their success as they grow up.

Steve loves his job in human resources, training employees of a large department store chain. Kyle currently does consulting work for a public relations agency and is looking forward to being a STAY-AT-HOME dad! He can’t wait to spend afternoons with our child visiting the Fort Worth Zoo to see the elephants and giraffes and going on play dates with our nieces and nephews.

We want you to know that YOU will always have a special place in our child’s life and in our family. He or she will always know that they came to us because of your enormous love.

Our families and friends are such an important part of our lives, and they’re very excited for us to become parents. We’re blessed to have Kyle’s parents, brother, sister and seven nieces and nephews all less than five miles away. We love going to our nieces and nephews’ sporting events and seeing them perform in their school plays. They cannot wait to build sand castles at the beach with their newest cousin during our annual family vacation!

Steve’s parents and sister live in Florida, and we love to visit them throughout the year. His mom is an amazing cook, and Thanksgiving at her house is always a treat. We look forward to watching Grandma teach our child how to bake a batch of her delicious Christmas cookies – or to watch as our child sneaks a bit of the cookie dough out of the bowl.

We love to entertain, and often find ourselves hosting “Sunday Suppers” with family and friends. Our nieces and nephews love “make-your-own-pizza” night, and we can’t wait to see our child’s face when they bake their first batch of brownies. We also love to travel abroad to new places, harvest vegetables from our garden and play an occasional game of pool in our upstairs game room.

We live in Colleyville, Texas – a suburb located between Dallas and Fort Worth. Our house is in a new community, with quiet streets, a pond and soccer fields just beyond our backyard fence. We can’t wait to cheer on our child’s team and to ride our bikes to the pond to go fishing. On summer weekends, we often spend the day by our swimming pool, inviting friends and family over to swim and grill out. Our neighbors are also starting families, and we look forward to hearing all of our children laughing and playing in our quiet cul-de-sac.
