We share a wide variety of interests like model railroading, watching movies, exploring and spending time with family and friends. Our family celebrates various holidays and we enjoy decorating the house to add to the fun. We look forward to taking our child to places like Disneyland, Legoland, and SeaWorld, which are near our home. We love to travel all over the United States and to different parts of the world to learn about unique cultures and see amazing things. We plan to share our joy of travel by taking our child to places like Europe, the Grand Canyon, and Hawaii.

Like children, we have a curiosity about how things operate and how they are made. We can’t wait to take our child on a train ride for the first time or to visit a children’s museum. We go out of our way to visit places that make things like pretzels, automobiles, chocolate, and cheese. How fun it will be to see our child’s face light up the first time we see a pretzel come out of the oven or an automobile go from individual parts to a whole car a family can ride in. Recently, we visited Disney World and thought about how thrilling it will be to take our child there! We can’t wait to experience these things through our child’s eyes!

We live in Yorba Linda in Southern California (about 20 minutes from Disneyland). Our community is family oriented and our clubhouse hosts many events throughout the year, which is a great way to meet other families in our neighborhood. Kids can dress up in their favorite costume to attend the Halloween carnival, decorate their bicycles to enter the 4th of July parade or try to catch the most fish or the biggest fish in the fishing derby. The Time for Tots program is also a wonderful way for our child to make new friends.

At the clubhouse we can play ping pong, board or card games, basketball or volleyball. We like to walk along the various trails in our neighborhood to enjoy the trees, flowers and green grass. We often walk along one of the trails to the neighborhood park which has both a playground and two baseball diamonds. These are used regularly during the year. The tennis courts are also within walking distance.

If we want a change from enjoying the spa in our back yard, we go swimming in one of the local swimming pools. Sometimes we swim in the junior Olympic pool where the local swim team, the Eagle Rays, swim. Maybe one day we’ll be able to cheer our child on at one of their local swim meets.

We enjoy boating on the community lake and are excited about sharing this wonderful pastime with our child. The annual Holiday of Lights boat parade in December is spectacular. The clubhouse provides cookies and cocoa to enjoy while watching the boat parade. We especially enjoy boating during the holidays when all the houses on the lake have been decorated so beautifully.

Crystal’s parents live close by and we do lots of things together. They love being grandparents and look forward to welcoming our baby into the family. We enjoy celebrating holidays together. It is tradition to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas as a family. Often the four of us will catch a movie, have dinner, watch a play or comedy show, or attend a train show together. We frequently travel together and have enjoyed seeing places as close as the Yosemite National Park in California or as far away as Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and Austria.

Crystal’s brother and his family also live in Southern California. Time spent with our nephew and niece includes playing video games, swimming, and boating together.

Chris’ brother lives in New York with his wife and they can’t wait to become an uncle and aunt! They love coming to California to visit. In between visits we talk on the phone on a regular basis. It’s a fun way to share adventures and keep current on each other’s lives.

We will provide a nurturing environment so our child can succeed, know right from wrong and receive a good education. We will instill in our child good morals and values such as honesty and compassion for others. We want to teach our child how to handle the ups and downs of life with confidence. Most of all, our child will be surrounded by unconditional love and be encouraged to enjoy life and all of its wonders. We would like ongoing contact with you and we hope you feel the same way. We look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you.
