Ryan and Becky Hess
Becky By Ryan...
What I cherish most about Becky is her compassion. Being a pediatric nurse, it’s in her nature to protect, nurture and heal. I am amazed everyday with how much genuine love she has for our friend's children. She can always make a child smile with her gentle spirit. Becky is looking forward to taking some time off from the pediatric practice she works for part time. I can see her reading “The Giving Tree” to our child, taking long walks and baking cookies. I truly believe she is destined to be a loving and supportive mom.

3 Words Describing Me:
An Animal- lover, Fun, Energetic
We are Ryan and Becky Hess from Waxhaw, North Carolina, (minutes from Charlotte). We are so thankful that you are taking the time to learn more about us and for an opportunity to share our family and story with you. We recognize this is a confusing and challenging time for you, and we believe you are truly brave and courageous to consider open adoption for your child. When our journey lead us to open adoption we knew it was the right decision for us. We are hoping you can find peace as you explore all your options. It would be a privilege to welcome you and your child to our family.
We first met through mutual friends and knew from the start that we were soul mates. For a time our paths separated ways, but true love could not be kept apart. None of our friends were surprised when we were engaged at our favorite fountain in Chicago on a chilly fall afternoon. Several months later we married in the spring of 2001. We feel so blessed to have each other to laugh and share our lives with. Our relationship’s foundation is focused on trust, good communication and friendship. We look forward to starting a family , and we cant wait to fill our hearts and home with the sound of our child’s giggles.
Our Home and Those We Love...
We live in Waxhaw, North Carolina , about 10 minutes away from Charlotte. We moved here from the Chicago area nine years ago and we love all that it has to offer. We love being able to hop in the car and be at the beach or in the mountains in only a few short hours. We have a lovely home in a family centered neighborhood within a two minute drive from schools. We can’t wait to take our child to the pool and clubhouse and watch him or her splash away. We also have our dog, Coco, a standard poodle as part of the family. We rescued her from the Humane Society and she has brought us so much joy. She loves children and will enjoy hugs from our child.
Becky’s mom lives within 10 minutes of our home, and is looking forward to her first grandchild to play outdoors with in the yard. We both have family in Indiana, including Ryan’s parents, brother Paul and Becky’s brother Brian, who can’t wait to spoil our child. We anticipate many trips there as well as they will be traveling down frequently to spend time with us. Our friends and family near and far are anxious to share the love in their hearts and the joy of our new addition.
Our Interests and Promise To You...
We love to spend time outdoors and discover new places. We are looking forward to planting flowers in the yard and trying to catch butterflies with our child. Ryan loves to grill outdoors and looks forward to a new assistant. In the summer we love long walks with our dog, playing miniature golf and tennis. We imagine what it will be like the first time we take our child to the North Carolina Zoo and show them the elephants. All our close friends have small children and we can’t wait to introduce them to their new playmate!
In so many ways, we have anticipated what it will be like when we have our child. We will teach him or her to be respectful and to treasure all living things and nature. Most importantly, we wish for them to be happy, to know that any dream is possible, and that we will be there for them every step of the way. We will share their adoption story with our child and be open and honest. We thank you for taking time to lean more about us and would welcome you to be part of our family in the way that makes you most comfortable.
Ryan By Becky...
What I cherish most about Ryan is his patience. He is always there for anyone who needs him whether it’s a helping hand or a therapeutic listener. Ryan is a Cost Segregation Analyst who travels for work occasionally but also has flexibility to work out of our home. He will be an attentive father who is a child at heart. He can’t wait to enjoy every minute of teaching our child how to swim or how to catch a ball at a baseball game, and helping with math problems for school.
